You just might be!

The term "fashionista" is used to define a woman with a penchant for shopping and a natural flair for combining both current and vintage fashionable trends. And curvy women are very much allowed to be a "fashionista"! A "fashionista" is not a stereotypically thin supermodel or the materialistic “bitch” we are women who enjoy fashion and love to mix up the old with the new and step out in true classy form! The “Curvy Fashionista” Form!!!

We can thank many women like Canadian plus-size model Christina Schmidt, musician, actor and model, Queen Latifah and rising star Adele all the image of a "curvy fashionista"! The “curvy fashionista" has been elevated into a much more positive, powerful and successful feminine role.

But let us not forget the past beauties with sexy curves that paved the way for women to well look like women. There were many such as Jayne Mansfield, who was 5' 6¼" 46D-23-37 (after having children), Mae West, at a petite 5' 1" and 39-27-39 (self-described in 1956) and the stunning Marilyn Monroe who was 5' 5½" 38-23-36 (average reported) It has also been reported that she may have wore a size 12! The times have changed and so has sizing but when you look at the measurements of these past beauties they are nowhere close to that of a waif thin model! And neither do we have to be!

The past beauties exuded classy and sexy in there fashion choices, and we are allowed to do the same! We do not have to wait to look like a model to buy a designer suit or expensive jeans to look cute! We are not automatically materialistic just because we did! We are also allowed to buy a swimsuit and go to the beach!! The Curvy "fashionista" exists and we are allowed fashion!

So I ask again Are you a Curvy Fashionista?
